A WREXHAM pensioner was "blown away" by an act of kindness from a stranger.

Gillian Waters, aged 84, was shopping at Tesco in Wrexham when she realised she didn't have her bank card with her at the till.

But before she returned the items to the shelves, a kind stranger stepped in and paid for her shopping items.

Gillian said: ‘‘I thought it was totally unbelievable for somebody they didn’t know and have never met before.

"I wanted to put all my items back into the basket to go and put back on the shelves but they wouldn’t take no for an answer and it just blew me away with such an incredible amount of generosity, especially so close to Christmas."

One person said: "Nice to read something positive, love this."

Another added: "Kindness breeds kindness - so lovely to hear people doing nice things in Wrexham."
