A BRAVE Wrexham resident who was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer has completed yet another daring event for a cause close to her heart.
Tanya Jones has just completed her fourth charity firewalk for the Maelor Hospital's Shooting Star Unit after it gave her a "lifeline."
After being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in 2018, Tanya was determined to give back as much as she could to the unit which saved her life.
On Sunday, December 3 at the Red Lion in Marchwiel, 30 walkers took part in the annual challenge with Honu Firewalks to raise funds for a wonderful cause, including Wrexham Mayor, Andy Williams.
To date with the just giving page they have raised an incredible £3,111. With sponsor money still to come in, Tanya is confident they will reach their £3,500 target.
Tanya said: "A lot of these were first time walkers who were nervous beforehand but said they thoroughly enjoyed it whilst raising money for a worthy cause.
"Thank you to all businesses who supported us with raffle and also to those companies who donated to make the event a success. Next year save the date 1st December.

Tanya is aiming to reach her £25,000 target by the end of next year.
