EACH week, public notices detailing planning applications and upcoming road closures are featured in The Leader.
This week, Wrexham Council has notified people of the following upcoming road closures.
From December 11, Miners Road in Llay will be closed for 11 weeks from the roundabout, at the junction of Davey Way in an easterly direction for a distance of 344 metres.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Davey Way and Rackery Lane, which will be signposted. Access for pedestrians will be maintained throughout the period of closure.
And from December 7, the following roads will be closed for two weeks to allow Wales & West Utilities to undertake a gas main replacement.
- Heol Llewelyn from its junction with Castle Road for 65 metres in a north westerly direction to its junction of Waen Road.
- Castle Road, from its junction with The Old School in a north westerly direction to its junction with Bryn Drive for a distance of 210 metres.
- Smithy Road, from its junction with Castle Road in a south easterly direction outside the property known as Noddfa for a distance of 43 metres.
