STAFF and regulars at a Flintshire pub are baring all to help raise funds for a life-saving medical apparatus.

The Horse & Jockey, in Buckley, has launched a naked calendar as it looks to fund the installation of a defibrillator at the pub.

The calendar features pub staff, customers and even other nearby businesses in the form of R&R Burgers and Kiln Coffee.

They are looking to raise in the region of £1,500 to buy the defibrillator.

Rebecca Fitzpatrick, landlady at The Horse & Jockey, said: "I’m so proud of what the customers of The Horse and Jockey have put together with this calendar. Getting a defibrillator for the pub is something my boyfriend and I have been talking about for a while.

"We've been looking at where others are nearby and the importance of having such an important piece of life saving equipment so easily accessible to as many people as possible.

"We’ve had a casino night earlier in the year to raise money but doing a naked calendar started off as a bit of joke around the bar, then when I realised how many were willing to get involved for such a great cause it seemed stupid not to do."

She added: "It’s been such a giggle to put together and I want to add a massive thank you to very brave 29 people who bared it all to help. They should all be very proud. Also, a big thank you to Gastro Taverns for paying for the printing of the calendars."

The calendar is on sale at the pub for the price of £10 - all of which will go towards the defibrillator fund.
