RESIDENTS across Wrexham and Flintshire have revealed their favourite walking spots for a winter day.
With the days getting shorter and the weather certainly getting colder it can be difficult to find a suitable place to stretch your legs and get outside.
On Facebook, we asked Leader readers where the best winter stroll spot is in Wrexham and Flintshire - and the answers did not disappoint!
An honourable mention went to Erddig and its beautiful gardens which were described as "lush" by one walker, as well as the canal that runs through the award-winning town of Llangollen to the aqueduct in Trevor.
"Inside the grounds of Chirk Castle was stunning", said Zoe Hughes.
Many agreed that the Flint coast path is their preferred walk of choice on those bitterly cold mornings.
Other Flintshire residents named Moel Famau, while Ian Stockdale from Wrexham praised Alyn Waters Country Park for their superb cafe and scenic rivers which his dogs thoroughly enjoy.
For those brave enough to face the winter sea breeze, Talacre Beach offers a delightful scene during the winter months - a popular choice all year round, according to our readers.
Cllr Dave Franko Richardson admitted his favourite walk was under Flintshire Bridge.

Adam Williams said: "Too many to name but living in Mold your less than a mile from any country lane..we are truly blessed."
Moss Valley, Llandegla Forest, Nant-y-Ffrith, Ellesmere, Lands End and Loggerheads also received several mentions.
For those who don't enjoy a winter walk, they admitted to preferring a local pub with a cosy fireplace - and I can't say I blame them.
