AFTER months of anticipation, Marks & Spencer has today (Friday 1st December) officially opened its amazing new Foodhall in Wrexham.
This morning (December 1) Wrexham residents braved the cold to be the first to look inside the new M&S store, situated inside Plas Coch Retail Park.
The store team have been counting down the days to opening, and this morning over 800 local customers – a record for an M&S store opening - started queuing from 6am.
To keep customers entertained, local musicians, The Declan Swans, were in attendance performing some of their classic hits.
There were also five hundred golden tickets for the first people through the door with special Wrexham prizes – including a signed Wrexham football shirt and tickets to a home football game.

Staff members were also kindly giving out M&S tote bags and chocolates to everybody waiting.
The cheerful atmosphere was encouraged by the Declan Swans who began performing at 7.30am to mark the special occasion and provide entertainment to all those wanting to celebrate the opening.
