A SPECIAL Flintshire resident has celebrated a wonderful birthday milestone surrounded by family and friends.
On Sunday, November 26, Sylvia Davies from Buckley turned 100-years-old.
Sylvia celebrated the occasion with her nearest and dearest by her side at Hollybank Care Home, Shotton, where she now resides.
As well as proudly receiving a telegram from the King, Sylvia was visited by Cllr Gladys Healy, Chair of Flintshire County Council, who was honoured to join the celebrations.
Staff provided live music and entertainment for all the residents in their care who were thrilled to celebrate with her.
When asked about her family, Sylvia said: "My husband, Eric, was the love of my life. He was very important to me and is greatly missed."
