A spokesperson said: "Officers from our Neighbourhood Team have been working with Trading Standards Wales and the trading standards team from Wrexham County Borough Council in executing a number of warrants across the city centre relating to the sale of illicit tobacco.
"A variety of tobacco products were seized along with other items to aid in the investigation. Purchasing these products supports organised crime groups across the UK and beyond as well as you not knowing the contents of what they contain.
"If you have any information on this or any other crime, you can report it to Crimestoppers either online or on the phone. It's completely anonymous."
