WREXHAM Council has issued an update following reports of a mice infestation at one of the schools in the city.
Earlier this week, a video surfaced of what appeared to be a mouse/rat on the floor at Ruabon High School.
Several reports from students and parents say the issue has been "ongoing for years", but "nothing has been done about it".
One person said there was a "rat infestation" at the school.
Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous said: "I think it’s absolutely revolting.
"The rats could be in the kitchen where the whole of the school eat and it could lead to people becoming ill.
"The school needs to get animal control in and it needs sorting!".
When approached, the local authority confirmed a pest control service had been called to Ysgol Rhiwabon, but nothing was found.

A Wrexham Council spokesperson said: “On 21st November a pest control service was called out to the school upon reports of mice being seen in one of the school workshops.
"There were no significant hygiene issues found that were to be addressed and there were no points identified for proofing to stop pests.
"There will be a follow up visit in a few day’s time.”
