A MAN who died at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct has been named at the opening of an inquest.
Stephen Lee Jennings, a 61-year-old retail manager, of Oswestry, was found on the afternoon of November 9.
At the inquest opening held in Ruthin, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that a woman came across Mr Jennings’ body at the foot of the aqueduct.
Pathologist Dr Mark Atkinson has sent samples away for toxicology tests but has given the provisional cause of death as multiple injuries.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
