SP ENERGY Networks has confirmed a power cut affecting residents in the Flintshire area this afternoon (November 20).

It has been necessary for SP Energy Network engineers to carry out an emergency shutdown for safety at 1.32pm in the CH7 area of Buckley, Flintshire.

All affected postcodes can be viewed here.

The power cut follows reports of a grounded overhead cable which may affect the supply to all properties in the area.

On their website, an SP Energy Networks spokesperson said: "Our team will work to get your power back on as quickly and as safely possible.

"Restoration is taking longer than expected because of investigations and repairs that will be needed to our overhead line network near to Drury Lane and our team are now working to get your electricity supply back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 6:45pm.
