A NEW McDonald's restaurant set for Deeside will offer 120 jobs when it opens next year, the company has confirmed.
The former Pizza Hut site at Deeside Retail Park in Queensferry closed at the end of October.
There was then local speculation that McDonald's could move into that vacant site.
The Leader reported earlier this month that the fast-food giant has submitted three separate applications to install signage at the site.
One of the three applications submitted to Flintshire Council states: "The installation of 3 white internally illuminated 'McDonald's' letterset and 2 yellow internally illuminated 'Golden Arch'."
The other applications relate to road safety signals and the installation of a free-standing totem.
Mcdonald's themselves have now confirmed that they are 'currently on site' in Queensferry, and are 'undertaking surveys'.

The business added that it aims to open the restaurant by spring of next year, creating 120 jobs in the process.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: "We are currently on-site in Queensferry undertaking surveys with a view to opening a new restaurant in spring 2024.
"The new restaurant will bring significant investment to the local area as well as 120 new full and part-time jobs.”
