A ONCE-POPULAR Wetherspoon in Wrexham is set to re-open under its new name next month.
Now known as 'The Midland', on High Street in Wrexham, the site was formerly the home of the North and South Wales Bank Wetherspoon pub until January this year.
The new owners, Sam Ansloos and his dad Marcus Ansloos have been looking for a venue to expand their brand.
The team have the Con's Club, in Ruabon which opened two years ago and a year later opened The Cefn Club, Cefn Mawr.
Now they are bringing their business model to the centre of Wrexham at The Midland.
It will officially open to the public as of Saturday, December 2, with a grand opening taking place at 8am that day.

According to Sam, the venue will be “all purpose” with plans to open at 8am till late at night, serving food which will be locally sourced.
It will also have a “sports bar” feel, with over 30 TV screens, pool tables, and dart boards.
The Midland will also host themed nights, have entertainment and live music on offer.
It will suit the weekend night life in Wrexham, as well as being available for people to just have a morning coffee.

The new name of the building, The Midland, came from the building’s original purpose as a bank, which it was last used as in 1999, before becoming a pub in 2001.
A statement from The Midland team ahead of opening read: "The Midland opens at 8am on Saturday 2nd December! Starting with our all-new 'Breakfast Club Menu' from 8am until 12 noon, with breakfasts from £4.
"Following that, our all-day food menu will be in action, with Saturday's Pie & Pizza Club. Live Sports showing on all x20 big screens, with Sky Sports & TNT Sports.
"From 7pm, Wrexham will see the first ever 'Sexy Saturday' with a Live Act (tba) and the Midland transformed into a nightclub with our resident Saturday Clubland DJ until late!
"More announcements will be made in the coming weeks - we can't wait to share with you what we have to offer!"
