A PAIR of independent Flintshire businesses will be joining together for a tasty pre-Christmas event.
The Mold Bookshop and The Olive Tree Delicatessen, also in Mold, will be joined by cheesemonger Emma Young for a cheese and wine tasting evening at Tyddyn Steet Arts Centre, Mold, later this month.
Emma, author of The Cheese Wheel - How To Choose And Pair Cheese Like An Expert, is a cheese specialist and cheese consultant from London. She has worked since 2009 in retail, wholesale, cheesemaking, judging and now as a teacher and consultant to the cheese industry. Her book The Cheese Wheel lists more than 110 cheeses and helps you find the perfect drink to pair with your cheese.
The Mold Bookshop has been selling books to the local community since 1981. It has a diverse range of titles and a fast special ordering service for any book not in stock. It has been shortlisted for the Wales Independent Bookshop of the year in both 2022 and 2023.
Caroline Johnson, from The Mold Bookshop said: "We are delighted to add this event to our very popular programme of events and we are looking forward to working with The Olive Tree for what promises to be a very interesting and tasty evening."
The Olive Tree is an award-winning delicatessen on the Mold High Street. Trading for more than seven years, it specialises in artisan cheeses, charcuterie meats, olives, oils, vinegars, hampers and much much more.
