A CHRISTMAS Movie Night is set to be held later this month as the festive feeling begins to take over a Flintshire town.

Guests are invited to 'bring a chair and wrap up warm' for the free outdoor event which will take place in Holywell on Sunday, November 26.

From 5pm at the events area at Tower Gardens, guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the much-loved Christmas film 'Elf'.

The 2003 American Christmas comedy stars Will Ferrell as Buddy - a human raised by Santa's elves, who learns about his origins and heads to New York City to meet his biological father.

But, ahead of that movie night, guests can also pop along to the Christmas Markets which will be taking place throughout the day on Holywell high street.

And, if that's not enough, visitors to the Holywell area can even start the day by watching the Santa dash at Greenfield valley unfold from 10am in the morning.

The annual event is a 5k distance through the stunning wooded area of Greenfield heritage park.

Participants can walk, jog or run and can even bring the family dog along for the festivities.

The start line of the race is located next to Tesco Holywell at the bridge at the top of the valley path.

The movie night later that evening will feature a large outdoor screen to show Elf.

Organised by Holywell Town Council, the event will be free for all to attend.
