A £300 DONATION has been made to support a project providing Christmas Day dinners for the most vulnerable members of the Flintshire community.

December 25 of last year saw the Mold and Buckley Round Table host a dinner for residents who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.

The dinner was cooked by The Round Table’s resident chefs, chairman, Colin Devitt and treasurer Eirian Price at the Rise Café in Buckley, and the Daniel Owen Centre in Mold.

The main aim of the meal was to reduce isolation in the community and help spread Christmas joy to all.

And, after supporting over 60 people last Christmas, the Mold and Buckley Round Table team has now confirmed that the meal will return for December 2023.

And, this week, round table members confirmed that they have received a donation of £300 from a local business to support their cause.

Mold-based Synthite has made the donation to ensure that the Christmas Day dinners can run as smoothly as possible in their local community.

Further donations to the cause can be made here.

A statement from Mold and Buckley Round Table read: "An absolutely huge thank you the staff at Synthite in Mold, who have selected our Christmas Day meal for a donation of £300!
