A WREXHAM woman died following a choking episode while on a river cruise abroad, an inquest opening was told.
Rose Anne Edwards, of Marcella Crescent in Marchwiel, died at Valence Hospital in the south of France on the evening of October 21, 2023.
At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (November 13), an inquest was opened into the 78-year-old's death.
Assistant coroner, Kate Robertson, said that Mrs Edwards had earlier suffered a choking episode while on a river cruise.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date pending further investigation.
