MEMBERS of a Wrexham community came together to create a 'beautiful gesture' for Remembrance weekend.
Poppies are, of course, synonymous with annual Remembrance services held throughout the UK.
With that in mind, a stunning poppy waterfall was unveiled in Cefn Mawr to mark this year's occasion.
Taking inspiration from a similar project by the Royal British Legion (RBL) in Bolton, waterfall-style displays were placed at the George Edwards Hall and at the Cenotaph.
Several members of the community dropped off poppies to be used as part of the display.
A spokesperson for Cefn Community Council said: "Our Community Agent Marie-Claire undertook an intergenerational project to honour the memory of the fallen by creating a poppy waterfall which was inspired by the Royal British Legion in Bolton.
"Two displays have been made, one which is featured today (Sunday, November 12) at the Cenotaph, and a smaller display at the George Edwards Hall."
