ANTHONY Forde has praised Ryan Reynolds for a heartwarming gesture following his wife Laura's brain tumour diagnosis.
Earlier in season two of Welcome to Wrexham, the Irishman who joined Wrexham from Oxford in 2022, opened up on a difficult period in his life.
Forde's wife, Laura was diagnosed with a brain tumour midway through the 2022/23 season.
That led to the wing-back spending a significant amount of time away from the squad.
In this week's episode of the hit docuseries, an update was given on the situation faced by Anthony and Laura.

In the episode "Worse Case Scenario", the focus is all on Wrexham's game against Yeovil Town towards the end of the season.
It was the game Forde returned to the side in, and he also grabbed the first goal in a 3-0 win at a tense Racecourse Ground.
Forde was full of praise for the club and owners in the way they supported him through the difficult period, including an amazing gesture from Ryan.
Following Laura's diagnosis, Forde said the Deadpool star paid for a second opinion, a gesture "he didn't have to do".
After receiving the results, the couple revealed it was the "best-case scenario".
It was an emotional episode, with Humphrey Ker summing up Forde's goalscoring return to the team as "special".
The executive director also labelled it as his favourite goal of the season due to the "outpouring of emotion" towards Forde.
