A PLANNING application has been submitted to refurbish a former Pizza Hut restaurant which recently closed its doors.
The restaurant in Queensferry closed at the end of October. There has been local speculation that McDonald's could close its Asda Queensferry restaurant and move into the site recently vacated by Pizza Hut. This hasn't yet been confirmed by McDonald's.
However, a planning application by Planware Ltd, which handles planning applications for McDonald's, has been submitted to Flintshire Council to refurbish the building.

It states: "Refurbishment of the shopfront with the repainting of the windows, door frames and cladding. Minor elevation changes to include removal of doorways, with the installation of a new door, new windows and walls to be rendered to match existing.
"Introduction of 3 cycle racks and patio furniture with associated works to the site."
As the application has only just gone live, there are no further details available.
McDonald's has been approached for comment on the matter.
