AN INQUEST has opened after a man's body was found in the River Dee in Wrexham.
The body was identified as that of Paul Leonard Edwards, of no fixed abode, but originally from Wem, Shropshire, after being found in the river at Bangor-on-Dee on October 20.
At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (November 6), an inquest was opened into the 60-year-old's death.
It was told that a member of the public had spotted the body trapped by debris in the river. Police officers and firefighters attended, and the death was sadly confirmed at 8.10pm.
A provisional cause of death following a post-mortem has been deferred pending the outcome of futher toxological analysis.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
