Christmas is coming to Wrexham with a day full of free festive fun, from a lights switch on to a lantern parade.
Further details have been released about the Christmas Lights switch-on event, which will include a sponsored lantern walk to raise funds for Nightingale House Hospice.
The parade is set to illuminate the city centre with the Christmas lights being switched on as everyone passes through each street. To join their parade please register via their website www.nightingalehouse.co.uk/event/wrexham-lantern-parade/
The switch-on itself will be held at Eagles Meadow, and British music legend Andy Bennett from Ocean Colour Scene will be headlining this year’s event, turning the city into a winter wonderland of music and lights.
Andy Bennett, known for his timeless hits and electrifying live performances, will take the stage on Saturday, November 18 to create an unforgettable night of holiday magic.
His iconic sound, blending rock and pop, will set the perfect mood for the festive season, alongside Dene Michaels Black Lace and Oceanic. The event commencing at 3pm at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre will also be joined by Premier Radio, who have been awarded “Best Community Radio Station in Wales 2023” in the British Made Awards.
There will be some superb additional festive Christmas entertainment earlier in the day in Queens Square with Wrexham Council from 11.30am before people make their way to Eagles Meadow.
