FLOOD alerts remain in place in Flintshire and Wrexham with more heavy rain forecast this weekend.
On Thursday, Storm Ciarán hit the UK - with high winds and heavy rain battering the nation and a Yellow weather warning in place until late last night.
But unlike during Storm Babet, north east Wales communities didn't suffer the effects of heavy flooding.

However, flood alerts remain in place today (Friday, November 3) for the area surrounding the River Alyn at Rossett and the Alyn catchment (areas around the river Alyn from Llandegla to Rossett).
The Met Office says more heavy rain is on the way on Saturday - with it forecasted to be worse in Flintshire and Wrexham from 8am until 2pm.
The weather is set to improve on Sunday, with a fine day of sun and light cloud predicted - which will continue into next week.
