WREXHAM AFC's co-owners have featured in a new Christmas advert as the club's new sponsorship is revealed.
Hollywood duo and Wrexham AFC co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhanney are voicing the Mittens named Left and Right in the all new M&S Food Christmas advert 2023.
Following the celebrity cameo trend in M&S's adverts, this year Ryan and Rob join Dawn French who returns for another advert alongside the Hollywood sidekicks.
The advert launched today (November 2) on ITVX's This Morning and is the first of a six-part advert series over the next two months in the build up to Christmas.
After the Mittens get separated from their owner Lilly, the Fairy tries to cheer them up by introducing them to the 'magic of an M&S Christmas.'
Ryan Reynolds, Wrexham AFC co-chairman, said: "Our partnership with M&S Food is important to Rob and I, due to its established history with Wrexham and its commitment to supporting the local community.
"The connection we have to the club and its supporters is something we’re deeply proud of. It’s essential we partner with a brand who understands the broader goals for the community as a whole and is committed to making positive changes.”
M&S Food has also announced its first-ever local football club partnership this morning with Wrexham AFC.
The three season deal as official partners of the Wrexham club will involve supporting local families and charities, as well as the opening of the new M&S Food Store in Plas Coch, Wrexham on December 1 which will create 120 jobs.
The retailer’s director of marketing and hospitality Sharry Cramond added: “This year’s Christmas advertising campaign is possibly my favourite to date.
