A BODY was found in Flintshire yesterday afternoon (October 30), police have confirmed.
North Wales Police confirmed they were called on Monday to a report of a man's body near Dock Road, Shotton.
Witnesses reported a large police presence at Dee Park, while the force had asked members of the public to avoid the area while they dealt with the 'incident'.
Today (October 31), police confirmed that the death was not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner has been informed.
A spokesperson said: "We were called shortly after 2.40pm yesterday (Monday, October 30th) to a report of the discovery of a man’s body near Dock Road, Shotton, Deeside.
"Officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
"The circumstances of the man’s death are not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner and the man’s family have been informed."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called yesterday (30th October), at approximately 3:02pm, to reports of an incident near Dock Road, Connah’s Quay.
“We sent one emergency ambulance, one duty operational manager and one Cymru high acuity response unit to the scene."
