A WREXHAM city centre shop, which only opened the doors to its new premises last month, has been burgled with the loss of over £7,000 worth of stock.
Stephen Tapp, owner of Wrexham Revival, says he has been left 'absolutely devastated' following the burglary over the weekend.
The store, now situated on Lord Street following its move from Ty Pawb, was also broken into last week before the stock was taken.
But Stephen has said the support from the Wrexham community has been wonderful since the burglary.
A GoFundMe page has been set up which was started by a couple from America who Stephen had only met once prior to the break-in.
Local artist Liam Stokes-Massey has also designed a Wrexham AFC Paul Mullin print which he will donate any proceeds from to the store.
The much-loved store moved to Lord Street after spending three years situated in the Ty Pawb indoor market. It primarily sells T-shirts and trainers, customises designs and repairs and revives older items of footwear.
Steven said: "We are absolutely devastated but it's fantastic to see how much the community care about us.
"Giving people good businesses and places to stop in the town centre is so important.
"The fundraiser means we will be able to stay afloat after this terrible, terrible situation. It's really sad that someone would do this to a small locally-run business."

Over £3,600 has been raised so far in such a short space of time from over 150 donations.
Helen Schmedeman, a community supporter, said: "Small businesses are the lifeblood of a community. Thank you for your hard work."
While Mario Merola said: "You've worked hard to get that shop up and running. Don't let them ruin all your work. I hope this donation helps a small way to get you back to where it was."
A North Wales Police spokesman said: "Shortly after 9.20am on Saturday, October 28th, we received a report of a burglary at a premises on Lord Street, Wrexham.
"The incident is understood to have taken place sometime between 4.50pm on Friday, October 27th and 7am on Saturday, October 28th.
"One man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
"Wrexham City acting Inspector Nathan Harvey said: “I am aware of many discussions taking place on social media in relation to this incident.
“Investigations are ongoing, and I am asking anyone with any information that could assist with our enquiries not to share it on social media, but to contact us instead on 101, or via the website, using reference number A172401.”
