A stretch of the A55 was closed in one direction due to a “serious" collision this morning involving one vehicle.
The latest traffic reports said that the incident occurred between J16 Conway Road (Dwygyfylchi) and J17 A547 (Conwy Morfa). And that the A55 Penmaenbach Tunnel has been closed eastbound.

Police have confirmed that the collision was fatal, and are appealing for further information.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We are currently dealing with a serious RTC on the eastbound carriageway of the A55 at Dwygyfylchi.
“The eastbound carriageway will be closed for a considerable amount of time whilst emergency services deal with the incident, and eastbound traffic is being diverted off at J11 (Llandegai) onto the A5.
“Please allow extra time for any journeys and use alternative routes where necessary.”
