WREXHAM'S tattoo show is returning next month for its last ever event.

The Wrexham Tattoo Show is an annual convention organised by Liam Green, a tattoo artist at Wrexham Ink, and his wife Harley.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday 12 at the Glyndwr Sports Centre. Sadly, organisers have confirmed this will be the final show after six years.

Jacqueline O'Brien, social-media co-ordinator, said: "All of the organisers have young children now and the amount of work that goes into organising the show alongside working full time is just getting too much.

"Also from next year the regulations for tattooing in Wales are getting a massive overhaul and it will just make putting on a show with so many visiting artists much more difficult to do.

Almost 100 artists work at the show and travel from all over the country to attend.

Jacqueline said: "We have multiple international artists attending including an artist travelling from America and another from the Netherlands.

"We have some legends of the tattoo industry working at the show including the amazing Doc Price who is 90 years old and still tattooing!

"We would love to make this our biggest weekend ever and make it a show to remember!"

Tickets cost £10 per day and children under 16 get free entry but must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. They can be bought here or at the Wrexham Ink Tattoo studio.

Event organisers are also offering free entry to serving personnel and veterans of the armed forces on Sunday, November 12.

On each day there will be a tattoo duel between two artists and the winner is decided via a public vote. At the end of the day, the awards will be presented for a variety of categories for the best tattoos done at the show.
