THREE people were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the A55 earlier today (October 24).
The incident occurred eastbound near the Flintshire-Cheshire border just before 8.45am.
Witnesses said the incident involved a HGV and three cars. The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident - sparking long delays.
A North West Ambulance "We got the call at 8.44am, and sent a number of resources to the RTC including our hazard area response team (HART). One patient was taken to Aintree and two to the Countess of Chester."
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 8.45am, police received reports of a multi-vehicle collision near Posthouse roundabout A55/A483.
"Road closures were put in place while the incident was dealt with and the road was cleared by around 12pm."
