THE funeral of a much-loved charity stalwart is to take place later this week, it has been confirmed.
Last week, the Leader reported on tributes paid to Margaret Williams MBE, founder of North Wales Superkids, who died peacefully on October 12, aged 74.
Her husband Geoff Williams, with whom she lived in Flint, said she was "the most generous person under the sun," having dedicated her life to giving children amazing opportunities and unforgettable memories.
Mr Williams confirmed on Monday that his wife's funeral will take place at Saint Mary's and Saint David's Church in Flint, at 1.30pm on Friday.
He said anyone who wished to attend to pay their respects would be welcome to do so.
A number of Leader readers also took to our Facebook page to pay tribute to Mrs Williams.
Joy Williams said: "A fantastic lady with a heart of pure gold. Where you have lead, others must now follow to carry on your amazing work."
Dawn Lloyd posted: "Absolutely amazing lady who helped our company supply gifts for struggling families. Rest now and thank you for everything."

Dave Cheetham described her as a "true hero", adding: "An amazing lady [who] will be missed. Thoughts are with all her family at this sad time."
Shiela Griffiths posted: "So sorry to hear the sad news. I knew Margaret when she lived in Tanyfron.
"She was the playgroup leader and I worked with her. Such a lovely person, kind in every way.
"Her love for the children was amazing."
Jackie Jones: "So sad to hear this, she was so lovely.
"We used to take all our kids' toys to her."
Claire Carter said: "What a wonderful and caring lady, her legacy must continue."
