A TOWN councillor in Flintshire said the community is coming together to tackle anti-social behaviour issues there.
Reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues in Holywell have been commonly spoken about by the police over the last couple of years.
Police said on Tuesday that they will be stepping up patrols in the town amid increased reports of issues, mainly involving youths. They have also issued dispersal orders in areas of the town.
Daniel Thomas, a Holywell town councillor, said the community is stepping up to help deal with the issues.
“I don’t think ASB has increased," he said. "I think that people are starting to report more.
"People have also started taking pictures and videos then posting it on Facebook. Therefore, parents are getting to know what their children are getting up to and stopping it.

"We need to work together as a community to tackle ASB."
Cllr Thomas said he is working to set up a youth club in Holywell, to give "teenagers something to do and also a safe place to be".
He said they have procured a building in the town centre and are now in the process of looking for grants and funding for building work, equipment and running costs.
