PART OF the A55 in Flintshire was forced to close following a crash this morning (October 16).
Traffic Wales had reported that a 'collision' had taken place on the Ewloe loop.
That left lane two of that area closed for over an hour, with traffic officers attending the scene.
An initial statement from Traffic Wales at 8am read: "Collision on the #A55 Eastbound J34 Ewloe loop Lane 2 blocked at this time. Traffic officers en route. Updates to follow."

An update from Traffic Wales at 08:50am added: "A55 Eastbound J34 Ewloe loop Lane 2 remains blocked at this time. Approx. travel time in the area is 25 minutes."
A final update at 09:32 confirmed that the road had now re-opened. It read: "A55 Eastbound J34 Ewloe loop Incident now clear. All lanes now open."
A traffic update from AA in the same area at the time warned of 'severe delays'.
It added: "Severe delays of 13 minutes and delays increasing on A55 Eastbound between J33 A5119 Northop Road (Northop) and A494. Average speed ten mph."
Another update reported that the crash involved three vehicles, although this has not yet been confirmed.
It read: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to crash, three vehicles involved on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound at J34 A494 (Ewloe). Congestion to J33A (Northop Hall West). Lane three (of three) is closed."
