A PERFORMER from Gresford is living her dream on stage in the iconic cabaret 'Moulin Rouge' after fundraising to get through dance school.
Katie Malone, a triplet from Gresford, featured on 'This Morning' on Wednesday, October 11 alongside her colleagues after flying in from Paris where she landed her dream role.
Katie, 22, became the first ever Welsh dancer to perform at the Moulin Rouge Paris last year - the world's most famous cabaret.
Despite not expecting to get an audition, Katie sent over her performance CV with head shots and, before she knew it, she was being asked to go to Paris and perform at the legendary venue.
Sally Malone, Katie's mother, enrolled her into Ambitions Dance Centre in Wrexham which she attended until she was 16, before attending Northern Ballet School in Manchester where she trained for a further 3 years.
Sally said: "The whole family are really proud of her. Her sisters and I are her biggest fans and I've been to see her four times. She really gives 110% every time she performs.
"She is such an elegant dancer with a beautiful smile but off stage she's just my lovely normal daughter."

Sally admitted to not having much money while Katie was growing up due to being a single working parent of triplets.
The family were left with no choice but to raise funds so that Katie could achieve her dreams - making her Moulin Rouge debut even more special.
Katie returned to the UK overnight specifically to perform on 'This Morning' alongside her colleagues. They have since returned to Paris where they perform two shows a night for six days running.
