THE ultimate festival for foodies is coming to Llangollen this weekend.
The annual Llangollen Food Festival, which regularly attracts thousands of hungry visitors from across the UK looking to sample both new and traditional experiences in food and drink, will take place at a variety of venues in the centre of the town.
Visitors will be able to sample food, watch demonstrations and enjoy entertainment.
Venues include Llangollen Railway [stalls will be available on both platforms of the station]; Centenary Square [open air entertainment stage as well as a handful of stalls]; The Town Hall [stalls]; Market Street [stalls] and Gales Wine Bar [food producers, makers and gift ideas alongside Gales’ famous Horsebox Bar and Beer Festival].
Cookery demonstrations will be hosted by visiting chefs and bakers and there will also be a myriad of talks and stories from the world of food.
There will also be a 'Cheese and Beer Pairing Event'. This will feature artisanal cheeses from The Little Cheesemonger which are complemented by the craft beers of Hafod Brewing Co.
This year's festival will once again feature a brand new location for guests to enjoy.
Organisers say that the Riverside Park will host an 'incredible musical line up' alongside the tasty treats on offer.
A statement by the food festival added: "Get ready to savour the flavours and soak in the sounds in a stunning new location! This year, the food festival is making a splash (not literally!!) at Riverside Park, and we couldn't be more thrilled.
"Bandstand at Riverside Park: We'll have an incredible musical line up that'll keep you dancing all day long. Get ready for an unforgettable music experience right by the riverside!
"Food Truck Haven: Adjacent to the bandstand, discover the culinary delights from our fantastic food trucks. From mouth watering burgers to gourmet halloumi fries, we've got your cravings covered!
"And if you're in need a refreshing drink to go with the beats? We've got a dedicated bar area serving up your favourite beverages. Raise a toast to good food and great music!
