A WREXHAM woman has been put behind bars for subjecting her girlfriend to a terrifying drunken attack.
Sophie Robinson, of Moorland Road in Wrexham, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on Thursday for sentence.
The 28-year-old, formerly of Hoole Road in Chester, had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to one count of theft and one of possessing a bladed article.
She had also been found guilty after trial of assaulting her then partner Alison Wild.
Anna Price, prosecuting, told the court the first offence in time was the theft, which took place at Farmfoods in Wrexham.

Robinson entered the store and put items in her bag before leaving with them without paying.
Then came the assault against Ms Wild on June 6.
On that evening, Robinson went to her house and drank a whole bottle of vodka.
She became loud and made comments about a female with whom the victim was friends.
The defendant was "so drunk," that Ms Wild decided she couldn't be reasoned with and decided to go to bed.
But as she entered the bedroom, she felt a blow to the back of her head followed by Robinson grabbing her by the neck and pinning her to the floor.
What followed was a series of punches and kicks to the victim's head and ribs, as well as a bite to the arm, before Robinson dragged her across the room by her hair.

Neighbours began to bang on the door after hearing the victim crying out for help and after they intervened, Robinson was removed from the flat - only to return and punch her in the face again.
The defendant was arrested and taken to Llay custody facility.
In the morning, she called a police officer to her cell, telling them she had a problem.
"This was in my bra last night," she told the officer - indicating a 'Stanley knife' in the cell sink.
Ms Price told the court the attack on Ms Wild wasn't the defendant's first conviction for domestic abuse - with her having offences of battery on her record, committed against a different ex-partner and against a sister-in-law.
Richard Edwards, defending, said his client had been experiencing a "difficult and frustrating period in her life".
He explained: "That frustration, combined with substance abuse, contributed to these offences.
"The defendant had no recollection of the knife and as soon as she realised she had it, she informed officers immediately.
"The theft was incredibly foolish and down to substance abuse and her levels of intoxication at the time."
Mr Edwards said his client's time on remand at HMP Styal had been used "productively," with the defendant having completed courses in English and maths.
She aspires to go to college and complete a teaching degree after being released, he added, and is now in "a much more stable frame of mind."
Mr Edwards added: "The defendant informs me that the victim has been writing to her in custody and it is clear the victim wishes to rekindle the relationship.
"But this is something the defendant does not want - she wants no contact with her into the future."
Judge Nicola Saffman said she did not find that there was a reasonable prospect of rehabilitation in Robinson's case, telling her: "You have no insight into the crimes you've committed.
"In your pre-sentence report, you still maintain you didn't assault Miss Wild - you blame her for all of that incident.
"And the knife; you went as far as to say, even the next morning when sober, that it'd been 'planted' on you.
"Apart from the theft, you blame everyone else and take no responsibility whatsoever for your actions."
In all, Robinson received a 16 month immediate custodial sentence.
