A MAN who hit 'rock bottom' after a breakup had to be arrested after demanding custody of a cat from his ex-girlfriend.
Samuel Godfrey, of Mawddwy Avenue in Wrexham, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, and resisting a police officer in the execution of their duty.
Prosecutor Rhian Jackson told the court that police attended at Wheat Close in Gwersyllt on the day of the offence after reports of a domestic incident involving Godfrey and his ex-partner.
He'd gone to her address to remove his belongings, but the situation turned into a dispute.

When officers arrived, Godfrey was "argumentative" with them, and was given "countless opportunities" to collect his items and leave.
But he remained in the street, where multiple people were present, shouting and swearing.
When notified that he was being arrested, Godfrey began to run off, refusing to be detained, but was eventually apprehended.
He resisted for a time, but was later placed in handcuffs.
Euros Jones, defending, said: "He had hit rock bottom and saw all of his belongings out on the street.

"This argument was all about a cat - a cat he believed to be his.
"His ex refused to hand the cat over and he simply wouldn't leave until it was transferred over to him.
"Thankfully the parties have now discussed this and are in a better position - and he fully appreciates he should have dealt with this differently."
District Judge Gwyn Jones told Godfrey: "This is an incident where an argument over a cat should not have happened.
"Members of the public and neighbours were not impressed. They did not like the nature of your choice language."
Godfrey was fined £120 for each offence and ordered to pay a £96 victim surcharge, as well as £85 costs.
