A POPULAR Flintshire pub has won a Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice Award. 

The White Bear, in Mancot, has been handed the award for 2023 - with an average review of 4.5 out of 5.

People who have reviewed the pub say it serves "superb food" with an "exceptional service". They also praise the "fantastic and friendly" atmosphere inside the pub. 

Travellers' Choice winners are among the top 10 per cent of businesses on TripAdvisor - based on reviews and ratings from millions of people across the globe.

Dale Selvester, who runs the pub with his wife, Hayley, said: "We always try to make our diners feel welcome and receive the best service and food that we can provide.

"We are both immensely proud and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has dined with us and left a review or comment.

"We have a great hard working team and could not achieve all we have over the last few months without them. We are truly thankful."
