THE owners of Padeswood cement works, near Mold, have rebranded from Hanson UK to Heidelberg Materials.
The change is part of a global initiative, with all subsidiary businesses aligning with their parent company, which announced its new global branding in September 2022.
"It is only our name and branding that is changing," said works manager David Quick. "Everything else remains the same, including our commitment to running our operations to the highest standards and being a good neighbour."

Hanson has been part of the Heidelberg Materials Group for many years, but until now has retained the Hanson name. New signage at Padeswood will be in place shortly and will be rolled out on vehicles over the next two years.
Padeswood works opened in 1949 to supply cement to help rebuild post-war Britain and employs more than 110 people, as well as supporting many more in its supply chain.

There are plans to invest about £400million at the site to construct an industry-leading carbon capture facility, which would enable Heidelberg Materials to produce net zero carbon cement as early as 2027 and help meet its ambition of decarbonising the built environment.
The cement produced at Padeswood is used to make ready-mixed and precast concrete products, grout and mortar and is transported by road and rail.
