TWO MEN from Wrexham have achieved an outstanding challenge travelling across 28 countries in 28 days.

It all started with two men, one dream and twenty-eight countries. Ross Cheshire, 27, and his friend, Martin Rifel 'Rif', 57, came up with an inventive way to see the world, and it all started in their hometown, Wrexham.

Beginning their journey in Rif's house in Johnstown, the two men travelled on motorcycles to Asia and back again, encountering bears in Romania and becoming stranded in Calais, France, by helping a fellow Belgian traveller.

The trip was inspired by Rif who travelled to Morocco on his own last year, wanting to say they had driven their motorcycles to Asia and back.

Together, the pair travelled to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Lichtenstein, Swizerland, and finally, Luxembourg.

Documenting their entire journey on social media, the pair achieved 28 countries, 2 continents, 6,130 miles, 35 borders, 4 ferries and one mountain train.

Ross, from Llangollen, said: "It was a fantastic experience, best of my life. I can't recommend enough to people that if you've got a passport, just get out there and see the world because there is so much to offer."

Ross and Rif made it home seperately after Ross missed their final ferry home due to helping a young lady with her Landrover in Calais. After being seperated from his travel buddy, he eventually made it back to Wrexham four days later.
