A TEEN biker from Flintshire has made it to the final 10 for an award in an established magazine.

15-year-old Morgan Pickstock, from Holywell, began making ramps in lockdown and taught himself how to jump and do tricks.

Since then he has gone from strength to strength and is up for 'Newcomer of the Year' award in Mountain Biking UK's magazine.

Morgan has overcome a long shortlist to make the top ten, with the vote closing in the next week or so.

The vote can be found here.

Biking is 'life' for Morgan according to his mum Caroline, she added: "He started riding a few years ago and now he just lives for it.

"He does BMXing, Mountain Biking, dirt jumping, the lot. He's got aims to become a professional biker so to be up for this award is brilliant.

"It means the world to him to be part of this vote and he's up against some really established riders. He's one of the youngest bikers in the vote and he's also the only Welsh biker.

"Biking means everything to him and he's started teaching his little sister now which is amazing. It would mean so much if people could vote for him."
