AN ORIGINAL Wrexham Lager can has been found and residents are reminiscing over the old design.
Elliot Knox, a chef at The Lemon Tree Hotel in Wrexham, was out walking when he stumbled across an original can of Wrexham Lager.
The iconic Wrexham Lager Blue can would have been brewed in the old Wrexham Lager Brewery site, established in 1882.
The can remained that way until 2001 when the old Wrexham Lager brewery closed down.
What are the chances?

Then in 2011, Wrexham Lager was re-established with a new logo which ultimately evolved into the black, yellow and green design the company uses now, featuring the Welsh dragon.
Elliot Knox said: "I found it down by the River Alyn near Llay which is where I've done the same walk with my dogs for years. I've never seen it before so I assume the bad weather stirred it up."
When asked if Elliot enjoys a Wrexham lager he said: "I certainly do. I think what they do for the local community is great and they have built an amazing brand. We also serve it on draught at the Lemon Tree."
Wrexham resident Alan Salisbury on Facebook said: "The can itself was made on the Wrexham industrial estate by Continential Can Company."
Many residents shared images of their unopened cans, also with the original pale blue branding, like Paul Evans who said his beverages were just over their expiry date of 1999.
A Wrexham Lager spokesperson said: "As one of the oldest breweries in the UK, we look forward to teaching our customers and followers more about Wrexham's history.
"As dedication to Wrexham Lagers history and iconic Blue can, earlier this year we cloaked our Wrexham Lager (4%) bottles in the same blue colour and original branding which features on it the distinctive grade 2 listed, red brick office building still proudly standing from the old brewery site.
