A HMP Berwyn inmate is to be sentenced after he admitted having a weapon within the prison.
Wesley Johnson, formerly of Oswald Road in Manchester, appeared at Mold Crown Court via video link from the jail on Friday morning.
The 26-year-old admitted that on October 17 last year at HMP Berwyn, he had in his possession an offensive weapon - namely a toothbrush with a razor attached to it.
He further admitted that on that date, he unlawfully wounded a man named Carl Jardine.

Judge Rhys Rowlands told the defendant: "Mr Johnson, you've pleaded guilty today and that is important - it does attract credit.
"You'll appreciate it's just a question of how long [the sentence is] and how it's going to affect your release date."
Johnson will be back in court on Wednesday to be sentenced.
