THE BROTHER of a much-loved Deeside footballer is running from Anfield stadium to Connah's Quay in his memory.
Ben Wynne is taking on the gruelling challenge this Friday in memory of brother, Jamie, who tragically took his own life last year.
Jamie, aged 28, was a talented footballer and hugely popular member of the Connah's Quay community - with tributes pouring in following his death.
As a testament to his character, hundreds of people attended his funeral, and Connah's Quay Town FC's ground in Wepre Park was recently named after him.
He was a huge Liverpool FC fan - and was a regular at Anfield. And on Friday (September 15) - a day before the first anniversary of Jamie's death - his brother, Ben, is running from the iconic stadium back to the family home in Connah's Quay.

Ben has already raised over £1,000 for suicide prevention charity PAPYRUS. To donate to his JustGiving page, please visit bit.ly/3JGI22b.
He said: "I plan to complete this on Friday, September 15, 2023, just close to the year anniversary of losing my brother, who is sorely missed every minute of the day.
"Our lives will never be the same, the aim of this event is to raise awareness of PAPYRUS and to ensure Jamie’s legacy will continue . Donations are appreciated and your support won’t go a miss.
"The challenge will be tough but nothing will be tougher than losing someone through suicide."
