Wrexham Council has provided an update on services as strike action continues into this week.
The industrial action was called by Unite Trade Union nationwide, with disruption expected to some services for two weeks.
The authority prioritised black bin collections since the strikes began last Monday (September 4), but green bins and recycling bin collections have been affected.
Now, it is the second week of strikes, and some services are going ahead, the council has confirmed today (Monday, September 11).
A spokesperson said: “We continue to see a number of colleagues who are presenting for work in the normal manner and we are endeavouring to continue with service delivery as widely as we can.
“Disruption this morning was much less and we are again prioritising black bins and subject to crews getting familiar with areas and support from reactive teams, we expect as near a normal service for general waste as possible.
“We have some ‘clinical’ waste collections out today and some trade collections, and we are working up some revised advice for residents to take us to the end of this week and into next.
“Please bear with us and be assured our teams here are working hard to deliver services.”
