TOWNLYNX Bus Services has officially reversed its decision to stop all transport operations following an announcement on Friday, September 8.
Flintshire Council said it has received a statement from Townlynx Limited via social media, that a decision has been made to continue with its transport operations as normal.
A Flintshire Council spokesperson said: "We understand that people who rely on these essential transport services have been awaiting an official update from the council and we have been attempting to contact the bus operator to confirm the situation.
"The council has now received formal confirmation this afternoon that, following the announcement on Friday 8 September, Townlynx Limited has reversed their decision to cease operating transport services."
Katie Wilby, chief officer for Streetscene and Transportation, said: “We understand that the unprecedented and unacceptable withdrawal of services announced on Friday 8 September caused significant concern for many people who rely on the transport services provided by Townlynx.
"Officers and headteachers spent most of the day and evening dealing with the fallout and consequences for young people and service users, and the council acted promptly on the information it received from Townlynx Bus Services at very short notice during the afternoon.
"Townlynx has since apologised for the disruption, distress and inconvenience their decision has caused.”
This announcement means that the following school transport buses, college transport buses and public transport services operated by Townlynx Bus Services will be operating.
