A SCHOOL is operating a "walking bus" service after a major provided pulled transport services.
News broke on Friday afternoon that Townlynx, which runs 18 schools buses in Flintshire, had ceased its operations.
Flintshire Council said it had only been informed on Friday afternoon, and that it is "doing everything possible" to find replacement services.
And St David's High School, in Saltney, has announced that it will be operating a "walking bus service".
The school posted on social media saying: "The school will be operating a walking bus on Monday, September 11. This will be managed by the School's Leadership Team.
"We will depart from Broughton Shops Co-Op at 8am and will be taking the following route:
- Broughton Shops
- Broughton Primary School
- Under the bridge on Broughton Hall Road towards Airbus
- Turn right along the Saltney straight direct to school.
"Pupils can join the 'bus' at any point along this route where they will be safely escorted to school.
"This route will be reversed at the end of the school day."
