PLANS to introduce piri piri chicken takeaway and restaurant to Wrexham have been approved.
An original application was submitted in July to Wrexham Council in the hope of moving 'Pepe's Piri Piri' into unit two of Regent House, on Regent Street.
Applicant Hasmain Ahmed HSZ Foods Ltd wanted to install four new fascia signs and one projecting sign to display the company’s logo, website details and phone number.
No objections were made by Wrexham council's highways department, but the conservation officer requested the use of 'discreet external downlight illumination' to avoid 'overly harsh' colour shades.

The plans were approved by Wrexham Council's chief planning officer David Fitzsimon on September 1.
Pepe’s Piri Piri's website describes it as the “home of fresh home-grilled chicken”.
Pepe's currently has 176 stores across the United Kingdom, making it the largest piri piri franchise in the UK.
And 11 more sites are expected to open soon with Wrexham being one of those.
Once open there, it will join fellow takeaway firm Papa John's which is already based at Regent House.
