A Wrexham pub has won a Pub of the Year in Wales title as part of an annual competition to find the very best pub in the UK.
Magic Dragon Brewery Tap was named as the Wales winner in the Pub of the Year awards by Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), making it one of the 16 regional finalists.
According to CAMRA, the competition helps to showcase quality pubs around the UK that are worth seeking out and visiting as well as enjoying a pint of real ale, or even real cider or perry.
The Magic Dragon Brewery Tap, on Charles Street, specialises in cask ale and craft beer traditionally produced in their micro-brewery at the Plassey Holiday Park.
They also have guest beers from other breweries, along with Magic Dragon’s own lager, Welsh spirits and ciders.

The Tap originally opened in December 2019, before being affected by the pandemic and Covid restrictions, and managed to keep the business running.
They have live music on a Friday/Saturday night and monthly open mic nights.
The business is owned by Richard and Liz Lever who also own and run the brewery itself.
The Tap previously won best pub of the year for north east Wales for their quality ale and service they provide from the Chester & South Clwyd Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Branch, before the competition progressed to regional winners.
On their latest award, David Salisbury, the manager of Magic Dragon Brewery Tap, said: "Myself and the bar staff are delighted the Magic Dragon Tap have been awarded this title by CAMRA.
"Considering the time the bar has been open, we're over the moon to be recognised like this, we try our best to make sure the Tap is a friendly, safe environment, so that you can come and get a quality pint of ale. I'd like to give special mention to all the bar team that have helped achieve this."
