A LLANGOLLEN woman has been handed a community order after biting two police officers.
Stephanie Owens, of Mill Street, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 35-year-old admitted that on April 12 this year at Ruabon, she assaulted two police officers.
Prosecutor Helen Sidhu told the court that shortly after 5pm on the day of the offence, police attended the defendant's address - then in Stanley Grove in Ruabon - following reports of an incident.
Owens answered the door "covered in paint", and appeared "drunk" as alcohol could be smelled on her breath.
As the officers discussed arresting her - for a matter not before the court - she shouted and walked towards one of the officers, before pushing him.

The police took hold of her and in the process of placing her in handcuffs, Owens bit the index finger of one officer, and the shoulder of another.
Probation officer Tracey Flavell told the court: "She fully accepts the behaviour that has been described by the officers and is clearly extremely ashamed and embarrassed by her behaviour.
"She also accepts she'd been drinking and doesn't attempt to minimise or excuse her behaviour.
"She has a history of employment in the hospitality and care sectors, but hasn't worked in the last six months or so.
"However, she is hopeful she will be able to re-enter employment when she has looked at the issues in her life at the moment."
Ms Flavell told the court the defendant had accepted alcohol had been an issue for her.
Pierce Blythen, defending, told the court his client had entered her pleas at the earliest opportunity, and wished to apologise for her behaviour.
"Her behaviour that day appears to have been fuelled by her alcohol use," he told the court.

"She understands she needs help and is currently working with the Elms.
"Ultimately, she is ashamed of herself."
The Magistrates handed down a 12 month community order with 120 days of alcohol monitoring and 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
Owens must pay £100 in compensation to each officer she assaulted, as well as £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
