A closed pub just outside of Mold had been due to go up for auction today (Thursday, August 31).

The Druid Inn, on Wrexham Road in Pontblyddyn, is up for a guide price of £325,000 (plus fees).

However, the auction has been postponed now until September 5 due to technical issues.

A spokesperson said: "Today's Auction has been postponed to Tuesday the 5th of September due to a technical failure on EIG's platform. This is completely beyond our control. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused."

The property was put on the market in August 2021, just four years after undergoing significant investment.

The building, which dates back to the 1800s, will go to auction with SDL Auctions.

Previously planning permission was granted to turn the pub on the A451, into two homes.

Describing the property, a spokesperson said: “A detached two storey stone-built character property conveniently situated along the A541 approximately three miles from Mold. The Druid Inn has been a licensed pub in Pontblyddyn for many years with a restaurant area seating approximately 60 supplemented by an external decked seating area and large car park.
